We are seeking a dedicated Senior Asset Surveyor to become a vital part of our UK-based team. In this dynamic role, you will travel to our international locations, including Germany, Italy, the Falkland Islands, and Ascension Island, to support our high-quality asset data management. Your mission? To provide detailed insights into the condition of the Ministry of Defence's International Estate by managing surveys and ensuring data quality. This is an incredible opportunity to work collaboratively with our site-based teams and make a significant impact


What Will You Do?

With a hands-on approach, you will manage and resource a multi-disciplinary team of surveyors to capture comprehensive asset information across various types. You'll carry out asset surveys to gather crucial data – from conditions and defects to lifecycle and remaining life. Your keen eye will ensure accurate inspections of both buildings and infrastructure using Mitie's mobile technology. Plus, you'll lead training initiatives, drive improvement projects, and craft survey programmes that keep everything on track and within budget.


Who Are We Looking For?

To excel in this role, you should be experienced in capturing and assessing asset conditions, with excellent skills in planning and managing survey teams. You'll need a solid understanding of building regulations, as well as the insights to interpret inspection data for remedial action. Possessing numeracy and analytical prowess, you will adeptly navigate statistical and financial information. Strong communication skills are essential – we want you to engage confidently with colleagues and clients alike


  • Must be able to travel regularly
  • Desirable to hold or have held an MoD security clearance - will be requested
  • Suitable asset surveying qualifications and/or chartered membership.
  • Must have a full driving licence.
  • Come from a FM, MOD or engineering background with surveying experience
