Look no furtherThis is a full time position consisting of 37.5 hours per week.BenefitsAn NHS pensionAn inclusive working environmentFree parkingAccess to an onsite gymMain duties of the jobThe successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary primary healthcare team delivering primary healthcare for Recruits, Service Persons and their dependents, including occupational health.You will work with the Senior Nursing Management within the Medical Facility (MF) including remote support to Group practice location(s). They will be a focal point for Specialist Primary Healthcare management focus delivery and management of Force Health Protection, Minor Illness and Chronic disease management.You will also hold an autonomous case load, and through consultation identify, assess and diagnose patients with complex health needs, minor injuries, minor illnesses and specific diseases within their level of competence within Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) clinical guidelines and protocols. It will be expected that the clinician has prescribing or willingness to train to deliver in this area of practice.You will be providing specialist high-quality person-centred care which always considers people's safety, privacy and dignity using advanced clinical knowledge that is evidence based.You will have training and clinical supervision responsibilities for Military Medics, junior practice nurses, Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) and other members of the multidisciplinary team.About usOur success depends on our people, our Whole Force, regular and reservist military, civil servants and contractors, all working as one, working together seamlessly to deliver for us.Our civil servants are a central part of this Whole Force, developing strategy, making policy, supporting ministerial decision-making and Parliamentary processes. Let's see where your future will take you, together.Job responsibilitiesAs the successful candidate your duties will include, but are not limited to:Providing specialist high-quality person-centred primary care which always considers peoples safety, privacy and dignity using high quality clinical knowledge that is evidence based, with use of core healthcare guidelines.Being responsible for the delivery of appropriate treatment, screening, and advice to patients within their professional competence and in accordance with (DPHC) clinical guidelines and protocols.Providing safe, evidence-based, efficient, and individualised patient care.Undertaking preventative health programmes such as travel and vaccination clinics, new patients screening, audiometry.Undertaking technical nursing treatments and procedures for patients complex/specialist healthcare needs (e.g., wound care, sutures removal, Electrocardiograms (ECGs), Cytology, Audiometry, Ear Care).Providing specialist advice and support to patients, their families and other healthcare professionals following assessment, diagnosis and through treatment.Please see the full Job Description and Person Specification for further details of the role.
