This long‑term locum role offers an excellent hourly rate, flexible working patterns, and the opportunity to build specialist expertise within a respected multidisciplinary team.Perks and BenefitsPart Time / Full Time: Flexible scheduling that allows you to balance professional and personal commitments.£27.00 per hour: Competitive hourly pay with full control over your earning potential.Varied Environments: Work across community settings and gain exposure to a wide range of clinical situations.Professional Development: Ongoing training and opportunities to develop specialist skills in substance misuse and mental health.Build Your Network: Collaborate with professionals across the NHS, primary care, social care and voluntary sectors.What You Will DoClinical ResponsibilitiesUndertake duties in line with the Mental Health Act (1983), Mental Capacity Act (2005), NMC Code of Conduct and SLaM standards.Manage a defined caseload, prioritising assessments and planning care under the guidance of the Clinical Lead.Develop, implement and evaluate evidence‑based programmes of care, ensuring high clinical standards.Act as Care Coordinator, participating in comprehensive multidisciplinary assessments that address physical, psychological, mental health and social care needs.Provide specialist clinical input and promote the recovery model for service users and their carers.Carry out thorough risk assessments and ensure robust management plans, particularly for vulnerable individuals.Follow all local safeguarding policies and liaise with appropriate professionals for adults and children at risk.Offer BBV (Blood‑Born Virus) testing, treatment pathways and naloxone at first point of contact.Recovery‑Focused PracticeCreate collaborative, person‑centred care plans aligned with service users’ recovery goals.Support service users to navigate the treatment system, ensuring seamless transitions across services and teams.Partnership WorkingMaintain effective working relationships with community mental health teams, residential services, GPs, social care and voluntary organisations.Offer high‑level nursing advice to colleagues, partner agencies and community groups.Participate in the Consortium Duty & Triage rota, group training programme and SLaM mandatory training.Professional ConductUphold professional, ethical standards and respect individual beliefs, values and cultures.Demonstrate accountability, excellent communication and commitment to safe, high‑quality care.Why Richmond & Wandsworth?These neighbouring boroughs offer the perfect balance of peaceful suburban living and easy access to central London.
