As a junior member of the Defence and Asset Solutions Sustainability Team, you will work across the business to support the development of sustainability strategies at a strategic and project level. The D&AS Sustainability Team is currently made up of 16 sustainability professionals. Responsibilities include supporting the development of sustainability strategies, contributing to corporate sustainability reporting and integrating standards including ISO 14001 and PAS2080. You will also assist in the authoring of tender proposals and carry out research in environmental sustainability specialisms such as the Circular Economy. You wil play a key role in project delivery under supervision from senior members of the team offering valuable insights and innovative solutions across assignments and projects. You will lead independent workstreams, working closely with the client to improve the sustainability performance of projects supporting colleagues and wider stakeholders in achieving their environmental and strategic objectives. We are looking for candidates who: Have completed an undergraduate or master's degree (e.g. Environmental Science, Geography, Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Development Studies) level qualification in a relevant subject by summer 2026. And with the following Key Skills & Attributes: You must: Be able to engage and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Stay up to date with a broad range of current sustainability issues and best practice given the continuous evolution of environmental and sustainability topics. Be able to understand and apply sustainability practices to align with the specific goals and requirements for our key clients. Be able to critically analyse and evaluate complex environmental challenges within the context of our clients. Manage multiple concurrent projects within fast-paced, multidisciplinary settings. Have a continuous improvement mindset, a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and share your knowledge. You must be: A flexible self-starter, who is keen to drive their career forward. Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning new things. And, have the permanent right to work in the UK. Our Graduate Programme assumes that participants are commencing their first professional role post-graduation. To qualify for our Graduate Programme, you must therefore have: Completed your first degree no earlier than the summer of 2024 Not worked in a similar professional role since graduation Achieved a minimum 2:2 in your first degree Selection Process Step 1: Apply Online Step 2: Successful candidates will be invited to complete an online assessment Step 3: Those who are selected will be invited to a final face to face interview with our operations teams. Step 4: Selected candidates will be offered an opportunity to join Amentum Graduate Programe in September 2026.
