With 16 production sites and 9 R&D centers we support over 1500 customers worldwide Reference 2025-1704 Job Family / Sub-familyIndustrial - MaintenanceContract typePermanentJob titleElectrical Maintenance Technician M/F/DPosition Context:The position expedites I C & E maintenance activities at both sites safely and efficiently to agreed work plans safety management systems and best working practices in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and Business Objectives to ensure that the performance and availability of I C & E systems meets the standards required to achieve safety production and environmental targets.Main tasks : Expedite ICE activities planned and reactive at either site as directed to ensure facilities are maintained in compliance with company processes and EH&S design and maintenance standardsSupervise & assist maintenance team members support staff and contractors in day-to-day maintenance activities on site (including Haz Area inspection and testing isolation of power sources etc.)Provide technical & troubleshooting support to company personnel in electrical matters including breakdownsAssist with the development implementation & review of site-wide maintenance programmes & proceduresMaintain knowledge & competency in electrical Standards & best practiceIdentify opportunities for improvement within the maintenance operationAssist with planning and management of electrical elements of maintenance turnaroundsAssist with the control and coordination of spare parts and the optimisation of stock levelsEnsure appropriate maintenance records are kept up to date to facilitate data analysis for reliability improvements; CMMS Hazardous Area Inspection Fixed Wiring earth continuity etc. reports to be completed on a timely basis data checked for accuracy and updated as appropriate.Participate in improvement and review initiatives as required e.g. E&I Compliance Team incident investigations & hazard reviewsPrepare technical reports as requiredComply with safe work systems and maintenance proceduresParticipate conscientiously as a team member in department call-out rota sharing duties and responding to call-outs as & when applicable. Required skills :Required skills :Ideal candidate would have 3 years relevant experience in a maintenance role on a COMAH upper tier chemical manufacturing plantAs a minimum the successful candidate should have a recognized apprenticeship or electrical qualificationCompEx training and qualification preferredExtensive knowledge & understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices & working knowledge of I&C systemsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings (e.g. loop diagrams & P&IDs)Needs to be conversant with Health and Safety issues and Codes of Practice relevant to the industry including COSHH LOLER PUWER DSEAR CompEx BS7671 & IEC61511Must be eligible to work in the UK and have full UK driving licenseExcellent communication and interpersonal skills self-motivated with a good team ethicAt Seqens Custom Specialties we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
