As an Assistant Finance Business Partner, you will be placed on a pathway to becoming qualified and becoming a Finance Business Partner. You will be working closely with Senior Management and the Senior Business Partner who will both be tracking your progression and providing with you with senior responsibilities as you progress within the role. Your initial responsibilities will include being an integral part of the management account pack production, you will also be involved in budgetary meetings with budget holders and stakeholders. After some exposure, you will eventually be hosting these meetings and being the main representative from the finance function and subsequently the first point of call. The organisation has a fantastic social culture and a history of promoting within, there are regular work outings to try and build on the impressive team cohesion and trips across the country including nights out in London and Birmingham when the organisation is succeeding.

Skills Required
  • To have experience as a Management Accountant, or to have exposure to management accountant responsibilities such as producing comprehensive reports for senior management, completing thorough variance analysis and having exposure to budgeting and forecasting.
  • To be completely confident in yourself and your abilities. This is a role where you will have the room and platform to progress, it is key to be able to produce a high quality of work to achieve these goals.
  • To be able to communicate efficiently and effectively. You will be interacting with a wealth of individuals, ranging from senior finance managers to external independent stakeholders. It is important to be able to get your points across in a coherent manner.
  • To have already started studying your ACCA or CIMA qualification, or to have an existing strong level of experience in month end accounting.
