From operating waste facilities and registration offices to maintaining roads and major infrastructure planning the moment an East Sussex resident steps outside their front door they are interacting with our work. Therefore roles in our department offer enormous scope to make a positive impact on the quality of life for people and the environment of East Sussex. We are looking for people who can help us to improve the links between the areas we operate in such as using libraries improving adult literacy transporting vulnerable people to the shops to help keep them independent or installing high speed broadband to support businesses to modernise.Within the Transport Hub we provide vital connections into the public transport network across the county to help people go about their daily lives from getting their shopping done to visiting family and friends. We transport thousands of children to school every day we provide transport for some of the most vulnerable people in our area and we help people who dont have the opportunity to access public or private transport. We help public transport services to change and adapt to infrastructure and demands by doing things like supporting the introduction of real-time passenger information at bus stops or re-routing services around roadworks. Ultimately we see it as our job to keep the wheels running around the county.
