As a Project Manager joining our team you would be working with national and regional partners to create the optimal conditions for innovation in our local, Peninsula health and care settings. This might include, for example, working to deliver our patient safety commission, increasing the use of medical technology, and identifying those most in need of cutting-edge treatment for diseases with high prevalence in the South West. 

We are able to offer full or part time hours.

  • Data and evaluation – collecting and analysing data to evaluate impact in collaboration with the evaluation and learning team.

Responsibilities 

Project Planning and Initiation

Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets. Define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables. Identify key stakeholders and secure project approvals. Apply project management methodologies to initiate projects effectively. Project Execution

Contributing to project teams, including matrix working with a wide range of staff. Monitor and manage project progress, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule. Address and mitigate project risks and issues promptly. Manage project resources efficiently. Contribute to identifying income generation opportunities and working with the wider team to assess and triage new business opportunities. Stakeholder Communication

Establish clear lines of communication and strong working relationships with project stakeholders. Provide regular project status updates and reports. Ensure alignment between project objectives and stakeholder expectations. Work with the communications and events teams to engage partners in projects, communicate the impact of work and raise the profile of the organisation at a regional and national level. Build relationships with other regional Health Innovation Networks and contribute to the success of the national Health Innovation Network. Quality Control

Implement quality assurance processes to meet project goals. Continuously monitor project deliverables for compliance with quality standards. Ensure projects meet the highest quality and performance criteria. Provide regular, accurate and detailed reporting on project performance. Risk Management

Identify and assess project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Proactively manage and minimise project risks. Foster a risk-aware project culture within the team. Change Management

Manage project scope changes effectively. Evaluate the impact of scope changes on project objectives. Implement change control processes to maintain project integrity. Project Closure

Ensure successful project closure with a focus on achieving project objectives. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned. Formalise project closure reports and documentation. Other

Other grade appropriate responsibilities as instructed by the line manager. Demonstrate the values of the organisation in all your work as impact led, improvement focused and collaborative.  Act as an ambassador for the organisation.  

Person specification:

Experience we are looking for:

  • The delivery of high quality projects.
  • Successful experience in managing complex stakeholder landscapes.
  • Experience communicating effectively to a range of audiences.
  • A track record of mitigating resistance to change and achieving buy-in.
  • Experience of managing project risks and issues. Working in and contributing to effective project teams.
  • Proven experience in managing change and adopting new innovations and practices, preferably within healthcare settings. Analysing data to inform decision making.
