As a Support Worker you will provide person centred support for three individuals who have complex health needs and learning disabilities at their home which is in the seaside town of Whitby.No two days are the same the individuals we support require and receive 100% support in all aspects of their lives.Some day-to-day tasks include: Personal care. Meal preparation. Monitoring recording and administering medication. Assistance with mobility. Accompanying individuals to a range of activities including cinema trips shopping eating out arts and crafts and swimming.You should be an effective communicator be prepared to use different communication tools and methods and follow the lead of the person youre communicating with as we have a variety of different communication styles. Flexibility is essential as the role includes working every other weekend and shifts are varied on a rota basis to include mornings afternoons & evenings.If you are kind compassionate empathetic and have a willingness to learn and make a difference we would LOVE to hear from youDriver preferred due to remote location.We recognise the importance of recruiting skilled compassionate and reliable staff whilst demonstrating in practice our commitment to inclusion safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk.Please be aware its a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in Regulated Activity (under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Groups Act 2006) to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with that particular group such as adults or children.
