Job DescriptionScience Academic Mentor Hounslow September 2025 StartLocation: Hounslow West LondonContract: September 2025 July 2026 (Term-Time Only)Pay: 444.00 per week (PAYE)Interviews: September/October 2025Are you a Science graduate with a strong academic background and an interest in supporting pupils as a Science Academic Mentor this SeptemberA secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a Science Academic Mentor to join their support team for the new academic year. This role is ideal for graduates in Biology Chemistry Physics or a related discipline who are passionate about helping students achieve their potential in Science. The Science Academic Mentor position provides an excellent stepping stone for those considering teacher training research pathways or other school-based careers.As a Science Academic Mentor youll provide targeted support across KS3 and KS4 working with pupils in need of extra help to understand scientific concepts and exam content. Youll run one-to-one and small-group interventions reinforce classroom learning and adapt materials to meet different levels of ability.Key responsibilities:Supporting pupils in Biology Chemistry and Physics at KS3KS4Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions to boost subject knowledgeAssisting with exam preparation and reinforcing classroom lessonsMonitoring pupil progress and feeding back to teachersWere looking for:A 2:1 or above in a Science subject (Biology Chemistry Physics or related field)Strong subject knowledge and communication skillsA genuine interest in education and supporting pupilsFull academic year availabilityRibbons & Reeves are Londons leading Education Recruiters.
