The Accounts Payable Clerk will be a vital member of the Accounting & Finance team, handling all accounts payable duties and ensuring smooth financial operations within the retail industry.

Description

The Accounts Payable Clerk will;

  • Process and verify invoices in an accurate and timely manner
  • Reconcile supplier statements and handle payment discrepancies
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • Maintain the vendor file system and respond to vendor queries
  • Assist in month-end reporting procedures
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:

  • A strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience processing high volume invoices, 100 + per day
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • An AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable

Job Offer

The Accounts Payable Clerk will be offered;

  • An estimated hourly wage £13 per hour (including holiday pay)
