Marcilly Recruitment’s client, an UHNW family in Chelsea, is seeking a Junior Private PA to come in under the Chief of Staff, learn the ropes and take on the role as the family’s Private PA. The idea is to take on a more junior candidate who they can train and mentor. As you take on more and more responsibilities this will be reflected in the salary and the job title. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to become a Private PA without the experience already on their CV.


The successful candidate must have either worked in a private household in a different role, as an assistant in a business setting or within luxury travel / yachting. The transferrable skills need to be there for a Private PA role. This is an amazing opportunity for someone looking to become a high-calibre Private PA at this level because you will have a mentor in the Chief of Staff, and they want to hand over this role fully as soon as possible, so the progression opportunities are there in the job and the salary. The employers are generous and fair payers who offer good salary progression and large bonuses as a sign of their appreciation.

 

Salary: £50K - £65K

Hours: 09:00 – 18:00 – flexibility required out of hours on the phone etc

Start date: ASAP – need to be immediately available or max on a week’s notice

Location: Chelsea and homeworking

 

They are offering hybrid working. These will not be set days; it all just depends what is going on. It will be roughly 1-2 days a week from their home and then working remotely / out and about running errands, shopping etc.

 

Please see below a list of responsibilities the role will entail when you have taken on the full Private PA role. They have said salary will be up for review at the end of your probation period and it will depend on how much of the role you have already taken on. The Chief of Staff will slowly hand things over to you as you learn the ropes.

  • Household management, budgets, insurances etc.
  • Household staff management – three live out housekeepers, a chef, security and one live-in nanny who also has their own flat provided by the family. This also includes staff rotas, holiday management etc.
  • Recruitment of staff
  • Family diary management – also working closely with the nanny who manages the children’s schedules
  • Extensive travel booking – private charter, yachts etc, making detailed itineraries with pre-booking of activities, restaurants, excursions etc
  • Luxury lifestyle management
  • Personal shopping Research – this is so extensive as it can apply to every part of their lives – sourcing goods, technology, health, children etc.
  • Household projects – interiors, renovations, furniture etc
  • Event management
  • Restaurant reservations and keeping your finger on the pulse with all the top things to do in London and the UK
  • Finance management and keeping strict records
  • Building a black book of contacts across the whole lifestyle spectrum

 

This will be a hugely varied role, working as part of a nice, non-hierarchical team within the house. It will be what you make of it.
