Quality Engineer

M-Tec Engineering is working with a major first tier automotive supplier who is looking to take on a Quality Engineer.As a Quality Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that customer expectations are met and all quality activities are adhered to.Further responsibilities will include:*Problem solve through the 8D process.*Ensure IATF is implemented and maintained throughout the plant*Conduct product and process audits*Producing timing plans and implementing product quality samples*Implementation and management of all APQP/PPAP activities.*Responsible for Process Flows, FMEA’s, Control Plans, and SOP’s, Work Instructions.*Ensure that all Packaging, Final Part Quality Assurance – including SOP’s are documented.*Review and ascertain Supplier and Customer PPAP Approval*Communicate with customers and suppliers when required*Responsible for the reduction of waste including scrap*Where possible, reduce cost and improve quality through continuous improvement activities.*Monitor and reduce 3rd party and internal firewall activitiesThe ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:*HNC qualified or equivalent*At least 3 years’ experience working in a Quality role for a first tier automotive supplier.*Strong communication skills with customers.If you feel you have the necessary skills and experiences listed above please do not hesitate to applyM-Tec Engineering Solutions is a leading supplier of Permanent, Interim and Project Management Recruitment Solutions to the Automotive and General Engineering sectors.Due to the overwhelming response to vacancies in this current climate, if you have not heard from us within the next two weeks you have been unsuccessful at this time
