We are working closely alongside a local authority in Ashfield to assist with the appointment of a Housing Officer on a 5-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: 20.75 - 26.54 per hour Summary: Ashfield District Council is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Housing Officer to provide a high-quality housing management service to tenants leaseholders and residents. The postholder will be responsible for tenancy management estate inspections rent arrears anti-social behaviour casework and ensuring that homes and communities are safe well-managed and sustainable. This role requires excellent communication skills a strong customer service ethos and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities: Manage a patch of properties ensuring effective tenancy and estate management in line with Council policies.Conduct estate inspections identifying issues such as repairs maintenance health and safety and environmental concerns and ensuring timely resolution.Investigate and resolve cases of anti-social behaviour (ASB) working closely with tenants residents police and other agencies.Ensure accurate and timely case management and record-keeping using housing management systemsContribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and service delivery. Essentials: Experience in housing management tenancy management or customer service in a housing-related role.Knowledge of housing legislation tenancy law and best practice in tenancy and estate management.
