Every individuals journey is unique and we are committed to offering care that respects dignity promotes well-being and empowers people to make positive changes in their lives.We have an exciting opportunityfor aSenior Practitioner within our County South Team.What are we looking for As Senior Practitioner you will have an expertise in substance use and be able to support service users frontline staff and managers. You should evidence your experience as a substance use practitioner in your application and how your experience meets the job description as a Senior Practitioner.The Senior Practitioner will play a crucial role in ensuring the high-quality delivery of substance use treatment and interventions within Nottinghamshire. The role will entail some caseload management supporting team leaders and managers with audits supervision and training.Location: Hucknall County South also covers Rushcliffe Broxtowe & GedlingFull Time Salary Range: 32002.35 - 34214.21 dependent on experience (based on full time hours pro rata for part time).Hours: Full time 37.5 per weekResponsibilitiesAbout the Role:Identify and engage with people who have substance misuse problems with complex physical and / or mental health needs including co-morbidity. Providing advice support and recovery focused structured clinical and/or psychosocial interventions to support recovery and primary health care needs.Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop recovery plans that clearly identify how they will enable progression in addressing substance use and re/integrating into the community.Further develop CGLs links with local recovery groups / mutual aid groupsEnsure that all aspects of confidentiality are adhered to and ensure consent to share information is always obtained.Provide health education especially in regard to harm minimisation blood borne viruses and overdose prevention.Carry out key harm reduction strategies such as running of the Needle Exchange and distribution of Naloxone after completion of appropriate training or demonstration of relevant experience.Support the Team Leader to carry out case file audits and ensure findings encourage a culture of learning within the team to help improve service user outcomes via the delivery of team learning packages.Deputise for Team Leaders in meetings when necessaryWhen applicable manage the recruitment supervision and development of Peer Mentors and Volunteers.About You:Were looking for a compassionate skilled and experience professional who:Has experience working with complex substance use needs in a harm reduction or recovery-focused setting.Is passionate about empowering people to make informed choices about their health and well-being.Has a positive leadership style and engages well with service users and colleaguesIs confident in safeguarding practice and policiesIs confident in developing partnerships to improve service accessibility and engagement.Can provide training and guidance to colleagues sharing knowledge around harm reduction and interventions.What We Offer:A supportive and inclusive team culture.25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
