Business Development Manager – Critical National InfrastructureLocation: UK-wide (Hybrid / Field-based)Salary: Up to £80,000 + Uncapped commissionWe’re working with a leading global systems integrator to support the search for a Business Development Manager focused on the Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) sector. This is a strategic role aimed at driving growth across key verticals including Transport, Water, and Power.The Role:As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, developing and executing go-to-market strategies, and building strong relationships with decision-makers. You’ll lead the full sales cycle—from initial engagement through to proposal development and deal closure—while working closely with internal teams and external partners.About You:Proven experience in business development within the Transport, Water, or Power sectors is a must, you should bring with you a strong network within the Critical National Infrastructure spaceStrong understanding of electronic security solutions (e.g. CCTV, access control, fire/intruder alarms)Excellent relationship-building and communication skillsCommercially minded with strong financial and analytical capabilitiesComfortable working in a fast-paced, structured environmentExperience leading proposals and influencing internal teamsKey Responsibilities:Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the CNI sectorBuild and manage a high-performing sales pipelineLead proposal development and coordinate sales pursuit teamsPresent solutions to senior stakeholders and manage objectionsEngage with strategic partners and influencers to support growthContribute to talent referral initiatives and internal culture-buildingRequirements:5–7 years’ sales experience, including at least 2 years in electronic security or a related fieldRelevant education or equivalent industry experienceNICET Level III or higher (preferred but not essential)This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation with a strong people-first culture and a commitment to innovation and excellence in the infrastructure space.Interested?
