Reed Accountancy are currently partnered with a Brighton based client in the recruitment of a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their established finance team. As Senior Accounts Assistant will be responsible for producing client statements, reconciliations, and bespoke reports, as well as assisting with budgeting and month-end processes. This role requires a high level of accounts experience, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Excel. AAT qualification and experience in property management are highly desirable.
Day to day duties of the Senior Accounts Assistant:- Produce monthly and quarterly client statements and reconciliations.
- Prepare year-end service charge accounts.
- Assist with month-end and new management reconciliations.
- Generate bespoke reports for clients and property managers.
- Contribute to budgeting processes.
- Address and resolve client, property manager, and tenant queries.
- Participate in the standard processes of an accounts department.
- High level of accounts experience with the confidence to tackle complex reconciliations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to plan and coordinate work effectively, both independently and with colleagues.
- Proficiency in Excel and a good standard of general education.
- AAT qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience in property management and familiarity with Qube software is a distinct advantage.
- Accountable and responsible for successfully resolving matters.
- Thorough with attention to detail.
- Committed to taking pride in work and caring about team performance.
- Mature with a calm, measured, common-sense approach.
- Positive with an optimistic, can-do attitude.
