This role will be to lead the commercial management of the United Welsh / Celtic Horizons asset management contract ensuring financial performance value for money and effective client engagement. Oversee budgeting cost control procurement and reporting while supporting strategic delivery of contract requirements acting a key contributor to business innovation and long-term sustainability.Role ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end commercial managementof the contract including budgeting forecasting financial reporting and ensuring profitability.Contribute to commercial strategy and business planning ensuring alignment with client objectives and organisational goals.Support contract negotiation renewal and variation processes ensuring favourable and sustainable commercial terms.Provide strategic input into pricing models bid submissions and contract variationsto support business growth and competitiveness.Ensure robust governance of financial controls audit trails and commercial documentation to maintain compliance and transparency.Lead procurement strategy and negotiationswith the supply chain ensuring value for money and adherence to budgetary authority.Collaborate with operational teamsto ensure commercial alignment and effective service delivery.Leverage data analytics and digital toolsto enhance financial reporting forecasting accuracy and operational insight.Produce regular performance reportson cost productivity and customer insight to inform decision-making and client engagement.Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement cost optimisation and enhanced value delivery across the contract.Champion a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvementacross commercial and operational teams.Support the integration of social value and sustainability objectivesinto commercial decision-making and reporting.Ensure compliance with health & safety plansand maintain accurate records in line with regulatory requirements.Manage employee relationswith support from HR ensuring fair lawful and effective practices.Represent the commercial functionin client meetings board reviews and external audits.Provide operational cover for key rolesas needed to maintain continuity and service standards.Role CriteriaExtensive experience in a senior commercial role within asset management housing or FM sectors.Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.Advanced financial and contract management capabilities including Excel and financial modelling.Proven ability to manage complex contracts and drive commercial performance.Experience in risk management procurement and strategic planning.Full clean UK driving licence.Benefits we can offer you. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.Annual Mears Fun Day - Our annual Fun Day is organised as a massive thank you from the Executive team for all the hard workVolunteering Leave - Mears supports employees to undertake paid volunteering in the community in support of our social value commitment.Staff perks with Mears Rewards - Share save scheme and discounts on weekly groceries holidays plus much more.Family friendly policies.All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.To drive a Mears vehicle you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant Background Identity & Security checks before commencement of employment.Apply below or to discuss your application further; contact:Beth Dunford ()If you need any help with your application process we are here to support you.
