Reports To: Operations Director The Role The Multi-Skilled Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance and repair of production, machinery across the site. The role involves trouble shooting, diagnosing faults, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance and improving equipment performance to maximise production efficiency, safety and product quality. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the safety, maintenance and efficiency of all pieces of equipment held on site Responsible for maintenance checks Maintaining and servicing all machinery electrically, pneumatically and mechanically Troubleshooting faults with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a wide variety of situations Troubleshoot faults with control gear and PLC systems Carry out other property/facilities/maintenance duties as required including monitoring and maintenance of the heating, water and lighting systems. General building maintenance (changing light bulbs, emergency light testing, basic plumbing etc) Monitor and execute planned preventative maintenance on various systems within the building such as annual inspection and testing of all electrical equipment (desirable) Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies (out of hours), performing diagnosis, repairs and troubleshooting to restore machinery to optimal function.
