Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in valves to join our client. As a bridge between sales and engineering, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Your responsibilities will include designing, reviewing valve specifications, and utilizing Solid Edge software. The ideal candidate should thrive in a heavily regulated industry environment.

Responsibilities:


Valve Design and Development:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop valve products.
  • Apply engineering principles to achieve specification targets.
  • Familiarity with valve-related technical specifications.


Sales and Engineering Liaison:

  • Act as a go-between for sales and engineering teams.
  • Understand customer requirements and translate them into design solutions.
  • Ensure alignment between technical feasibility and customer expectations.


Solid Edge Proficiency:

  • Utilize Solid Edge for 2D/3D design, modeling, and simulation.
  • Create detailed drawings and documentation for valve components.


Regulatory Compliance:

  • Navigate the regulatory landscape specific to valves (e.g., ASME, ASTM, BS, EN).
  • Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and industry standards.


Specification Review:

  • Analyze valve specifications, considering performance, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to refine designs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering design solutions.
  • Experience working with pneumatic systems, hydraulics, or valves.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration across teams.
  • Familiarity with heavy regulatory environments (e.g., oil and gas, aerospace, or petrochemical industries).
