Logistics Analyst 1638CW Hinkley Point C, Somerset PAYE £206 or Umbrella £292.06 Principal Accountabilities Logistics Analytics Services and Reporting The Logistics Analyst (Construction Logistics) is responsible for providing essential analytics services and reporting to the Construction Logistics Lead (Distribution) and stakeholders in order optimise logistics operations. Key responsibilities include: Data Collection and Analysis : Gather and analyse logistics data, including delivery performance, material flow efficiency, and identification of operational bottlenecks.Reporting : Provide regular and detailed reports to key stakeholders, including the Construction Logistics Lead (Distribution) and senior management, to give visibility on logistics performance. Actionable Insights : Use data analysis tools such as Power BI and Excel to generate actionable insights that support decision-making and help identify trends or areas for improvement. Performance Tracking : Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to material distribution and operational efficiency, ensuring that logistics goals align with project milestones. Forecasting and Issue Resolution : Leverage data to forecast potential disruptions or delays and recommend corrective actions to keep material deliveries on schedule. Collaboration with Construction Logistics Lead (Distribution): Support the Construction Logistics Lead (Distribution) by providing data and analytical insights on logistics performance. Assist in resolving issues related to material distribution by applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Knowledge Sharing and Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting improvements. Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team to ensure best practices are adopted across logistics functions. Contingency Planning: Assist the Construction Logistics Lead (Distribution) in developing contingency plans to address potential disruptions in material distribution. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Knowledge & Skills: The ideal candidate will have a background in construction logistics, combined with a strong understanding of data analytics to monitor and optimise logistics performance. This individual should possess excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work with various teams to overcome challenges in material flow and distribution. Additionally, the candidate must have excellent communication skills to relay complex logistics data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Key skills and qualifications include: Qualifications & Experience: Experience : Experience in logistics, supply chain management, data analytics, or a related field. Logistics and Data Analysis Experience : Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or materials management with a strong emphasis on data analysis. Business Intelligence Tools : Experience using business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Excel for data analysis, performance monitoring, and decision-making. Experience in Regulated Industries : Prior experience working in regulated industries such as nuclear, aerospace, or rail is an advantage.
