My client's award-winning construction company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their team. You will play a pivotal role in a major infrastructure project located in Essex, contributing to the region's growth and development.
Project Details (confidential):
This significant project focuses on creating a vital transportation link, aiming to improve accessibility and unlock land for various purposes. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the project's financial and contractual success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all quantity surveying activities for the project.
- Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts, budgets, and estimates.
- Ensure adherence to specific contract frameworks (mention alternatives to NEC if applicable).
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior quantity surveying staff.
Your Qualifications:
- Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor (RICS or equivalent).
- Proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure projects (10+ years).
- In-depth knowledge of relevant contract administration procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
