We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Harlow. If you have a passion for civil engineering, highways, and are looking for your next exciting opportunity, this could be the role for you
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of Bills of Quantities by taking off measures from drawings
* Working on highway projects, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of QS services
* Contract administration and management, with particular focus on NEC 3 and NEC 4 (advantageous)
* Cost planning, measurement, and managing costs throughout the project lifecycle
* Liaising effectively with clients, contractors, and suppliers
* Monitoring and managing project budgets to ensure profitability
* Producing reports and valuations for projects
* Ensuring compliance with all legal and contractual obligations
Essential Requirements:
* HND in Civil Engineering or similar qualification
* Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor with proven civil engineering and highways experience
* Experience in producing Bills of Quantities and taking off measures from drawings
* Strong understanding of highway project measurement
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a client-facing role
* Strong commercial awareness, with a focus on business success
* Good time management skills and the ability to manage workload effectively under pressure
* Valid UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Knowledge and experience with NEC 3 and NEC 4 contracts
