Mpeople recruitment have an exciting opportunity for an Estimator to join the expanding team of a well-established manufacturing company based in the Tameside area. This position will work on a full time, permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the business, successful candidates will undergo a DBS check and references to cover the last 3 years.

  • Role: Estimator
  • Location: Hyde
  • Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
  • Hours: 8am to 5pm with an early finish on Fridays

Duties as an Estimator will include but not be limited to:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, treatments, finished projects etc.
  • Considering various factors including labour and overhead costs of projects
  • Reading and understanding technical drawings, liaise with engineering teams to ensure correct interpretation where necessary
  • Evaluating quotes from various suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness and quality
  • Liaising with internal teams, clients and suppliers

The successful Estimator will possess the following skills:

  • A good understanding of the manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of supply chains including materials, treatments etc.
  • Competent with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
