Behaviour Mentor Assistant – Responsibilities:
- Support students in understanding and adhering to school behaviour policies.
- Provide one-on-one and small group interventions, focusing on goal setting, coping strategies, and conflict resolution.
- Promote students' emotional wellbeing, resilience, and self-control.
- Assist teachers in managing classroom behaviour to ensure a productive learning space.
- Use behavioural strategies and support tools to enhance students' personal growth and classroom focus.
- Communicate regularly with teachers, school leadership, and occasionally with parents to monitor progress.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions, incidents, and progress to inform support strategies.
Behaviour Mentor Assistant – Essential Requirements:
- A degree in Psychology or a related field – Minimum 2:1 degree from a recognised UK university.
- Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and collaborate with staff.
