The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead a Cafe kitchen team for a Very busy daytime operation in Hook.
The client are a family business and working farm. You will be working with the finest meat produced on the farm which is prepared by our highly skilled team of butchers, alongside local fresh produce which is of the highest quality- at your disposal to create freshly prepared dishes.

Requirements

As Head Chef the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food preparation, production, and presentation. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and creating a positive work environment for your team. Further Requirements to the role as follows:

  • Lead and manage the kitchen staff fo 5/6 in the team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
  • Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen at all times.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Experience

As Head Chef you should have

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or A Snr Sous Role in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen management.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • A passion for cooking with an understanding of current culinary trends.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
