Data Analyst / Programmes Analyst – Aerospace/Engineering
Job Summary:
Join an innovative and dynamic team within a leading aerospace engineering company, where you’ll play a key role in managing and analysing projects that supply critical products / technology for aircrews. As a Data / Programmes Analyst, you’ll be responsible for both technical data analysis and business engagement, ensuring the success of critical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed project cost tracking, variance analysis, and Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.
- Utilize systems like Power BI, Power Query, and SQL to provide actionable insights from data.
- Engage with stakeholders to support user meetings, ensuring reports and data are used effectively.
- Conduct proof of concept reports, ad-hoc data analysis, and system integration assessments.
- Produce and maintain process documentation, and provide training to team members on reporting systems.
- Drive continuous improvement in project systems, identifying areas for optimization and implementing new tools and processes.
Technical Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, SQL, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with project planning systems and experience in financial reporting.
- Expertise in EVM, NVP, and project systems analysis.
Personal Attributes:
- A proactive approach with a strong drive for continuous improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve complex data issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present and engage effectively with stakeholders.
Role Breakdown:
- 70% Technical (data analysis, project reporting)
- 30% Business Analyst soft skills (stakeholder engagement, presentations)
