About the Role


An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join a fast-paced and forward-thinking business as a People Advisor. This is a diverse role providing a range of People services, with the goal of supporting the business to drive best practice in the People engagement and support space and continuing to make BJSS a great place to work for all our people.


In this role you will be providing high quality day-to-day advice and support to employees and front line leaders across the business on a range of employment topics.


Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage the People Team inbox and respond to all people related enquiries
  • Assist in the management of employee relations issues
  • Assist in the facilitation and administration of formal meetings as needed
  • Support the Operations team with business-as-usual People processes when required (e.g. salary and bonus review, benefits administration, payroll change information)
  • General HR information reporting, i.e. sickness, leavers etc.
  • Review and advise on change to People processes to drive efficiency and best practice


About You


  • A strong HR Generalist/ People Advisor with experience working within a similar role in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
  • Highly creative, with the ability to ‘think outside the box’ when approaching complex people issues
  • Skilled at offering pragmatic employee relations advice to people leaders
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and the ability to translate this into clear, usable information/actions
  • Highly adaptable; open to change and willing to ‘muck in’ to get the job done
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; the ability to build relationships, understand needs, and offer considered guidance
  • An enthusiastic team-player, while still self-driven and able to work without frequent support
  • A confident, credible, and approachable manner
  • A proactive, flexible and positive work style
  • Experience of working for an international organisation would be a bonus but not essential
