This role is a senior position in Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and will drive the development and implementation of a framework for managing outsourced and third-party services in alignment with policy and regulatory requirements.


The role will be responsible for embedding the framework across EMEA to ensure sufficient oversight and management of third-party activities through enhanced due diligence and ongoing risk assessment of vendors.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities for leading the Third Party Risk Management team within EMEA include:

  • Leading the implementation of the TPRM framework (including Intercompany Agreements), in conjunction with various regions and head office.
  • Maintaining a robust process and procedural controls to ensure effective TPRM and compliance with relevant local regulations (e.g., DORA, EBA, ESMA, FSA, PRA).
  • Implementing the target operating model across EMEA, which includes framework rollout, tooling, and consistent governance and reporting to meet regulatory expectations across the region.
  • Monitoring, identifying, and implementing any new TPRM requirements based on regulatory and/or internal requirements.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as Procurement, to maintain and contribute to a comprehensive third-party inventory, including risk rating and ongoing monitoring.
  • Developing a robust mechanism for managing inter-affiliate arrangements, including consistent templates, storage, and adequate governance in collaboration with tax teams for applicable recharges.
  • Reporting to Audit, Compliance, and Risk functions as needed and maintaining oversight of self-identified issues and key risk indicators (KRIs).
  • Promoting the Third-Party Risk Framework and best practices while serving as a Centre of Excellence for Third Party Risk in EMEA.
  • Managing a team of Third-Party Risk Management specialists.


WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Proven experience in leading a TPRM function with demonstrable value creation through partnerships with complex and significant vendors.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering end-to-end best practice TPRM for internal and external vendors.
  • Extensive experience in managing a diverse team, embedding frameworks, and creating a streamlined operating model.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and guide them effectively.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a complex, matrixed global organization, managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Functional / Technical Competencies:

  • Developing and implementing an ongoing TPRM process, providing oversight, escalation support, and serving as a single point of contact for vendor managers within business units.
  • Benchmarking industry standards and driving best practices.
  • Establishing reporting cadence, data analytics, and producing dashboard reports and other documentation to identify emerging risks, issues, or challenges proactively.
  • Providing hands-on leadership and coaching to address deficiencies.
  • Developing consistent TPRM measurements as part of strong governance and oversight.
  • Collaborating with Procurement & Vendor Management teams to maintain compliance standards and initiate risk assessments as necessary.
  • Strong experience managing internal audit and regulatory requests.
  • Solid understanding of first-line risks and controls.
  • Sound knowledge of banking and/or investment banking services, as well as global market products and services.
