Position: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Mechanical Design Engineer required for a well-established manufacturer based in Basingstoke. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design process of products with the use of Autodesk Inventor. Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview Developing models and drawings of new and existing products with the use of Autodesk Inventor, whilst ensuring regulatory standards are adhered to. Producing pre-sales drawings to accompany quotations for customers Liaise with production teams to oversee production process and resolve any design queries. Modify and refine drawings as required. Maintain existing engineering records and designs. Ensure costs are kept to a minimum/working within defined budgets. Review processes and highlight and implement improvements where appropriate. Mechanical Design Engineer Job Requirements 2+ years of experience within a Design Engineering role Experience with 3D modelling software such as Solidworks, Catia, Inventor or Solidedge. Autodesk Inventor is preferred. Based in commutable distance of Basingstoke A can-do attitude and ability to work on own initiative An understanding of quality processes Mechanical Design Engineer Salary & Benefits Salary £30,000 - £35,000 Monday to Friday, full-time, permanent position.
