Blush & Bloom Talent are working with a leading player in the cosmetics and personal care industry, who are looking to recruit an experienced formulator to join their R&D team. You will be responsible for creating and developing new and existing formulations across the skincare, haircare and bath & body category. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company that values creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2/3 years of formulating experience in the personal care industry, with experience working a commercially-focussed role in which you’ll be confident dealing with customers and brand owners. The successful candidate will have a proven background in formulation and product development, with a passion for creating innovative products.


Please note, you must have experience formulating personal care products to be considered for this opportunity.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop and formulate new and existing personal care products, including skincare, haircare, and cosmetics.

Conduct stability testing and analyse results to ensure product efficacy and safety.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, regulatory, and manufacturing, to bring new products to market.

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.

Troubleshoot and resolve formulation issues during the development process.

Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of formulations, processes, and test results.

Assist in the scale-up and commercialisation of new products.


Key Requirements:

Degree in chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 2/3 years of experience in the personal care industry.

Strong knowledge of formulation techniques and ingredient functionalities.

Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards for personal care products.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Strong communication and organisational skills.
