Job Title: Lead Applications Chemist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Applications Chemist to join our team at SRG. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of new stabilizer solutions for polyurethanes and slabstock foams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead in the research and development of stabilisation solutions for polyurethanes
  • Focus R&D on slabstock foams in particular
  • Develop new and existing packages to meet customer needs
  • Obtain and review experimental data of the application testing of products
  • Develop and present application data to both internal and external clients and customers
  • Keep up to date with new and existing markets of polyurethane and TPU
Requirements:
  • PhD in synthetic organic or polymer chemistry (or similar)
  • Minimum BSc/MSc in Chemistry
  • Proven industrial experience of working with polyurethane, flexible slabstock and/or TPU
  • Good organisation skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able and willing to work independently
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)
  • A 36.25 working hours per week, Monday – Friday with flexibility on start/finish times
  • 25 days holiday + 8 statutory days and pension scheme
