As part of this continued growth, we aim to bolster and strengthen the technical relationship with our strategic supply partner(s) of high voltage electric drive systems Solidifying the working relationship between the two companies it is intended the post holder will act as Wrightbus' representation and single point of contact for all technical discussions between each team. The sector of onboard electric drive systems within the zero-emission automotive industry is fast evolving, challenging and essential to vehicle performance and satisfactory driver experience. The aim of this role is to ensure the requirements and expectations of the market are fully understood by the supplier and to ensure a smooth transition from customer expectations to delivered output. Key Tasks Work with closely with technical teams within WB and the nominated strategic supplier. Responsible for the specification, selection and integration of components and systems into new and existing vehicle designs, ensuring all technical aspects are fully considered and validated. Undertake the technical assessment and analysis of the options available from component to system level. Recommend the optimal solution that satisfies system requirements whilst meeting overall vehicle objectives and ensures compliance from all stakeholders. Develop and design product options in line with customer specifications. Investigate and source as necessary any requirement for new materials and technology. Work with suppliers and partners to ensure that components and sub-systems can be integrated together to achieve the overall vehicle objectives and performance. Co-ordinate with the assembly and manufacturing teams to ensure that the HVAC design is clearly defined and controlled. Manage the definition, execution and successful completion of verification and validation plans against specified requirements. Support the NPD Strategy for EV, FCEV and HEV vehicles and systems. Provide system technical information and documentation for both internal and external customers. Document, validate and provide FMEA information and analysis for design reviews and NPD gateways. Undertake the technical assessment and analysis of components and systems and develop optimal solutions to meet overall vehicle requirements. Provide Technical assistance to production, support engineers and the customer. Produce system layout drawings. Create Bills of Material, specifications and detailed designs Produce and manage component and systems specifications. Support prototype build, validation and product sign off. General Undertake all duties in line with General Data Protection and maintain utmost level of confidentiality. Ensure work is completed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard. Ensure that you treat those with whom they come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner in accordance with the Dignity at Work Procedure.
