Our client are looking to hire a Governance, Risk and Audit Manager for the team. You will be responsible for leading audit activities from planning to conclusion. You will be collaborating with management on improving control effectiveness and presenting summarised findings to varying levels of authority across the business.

Our client are a well established Not for Profit organisation in the North East.
Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Planning, scoping and undertaking audit assignments effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision, ensuring work is produced to the required standard and deadline by identifying key risks to business objectives, assessing and testing controls using data analysis where applicable and identifying areas for improvement.
Implementing and managing a governance framework ensuring all internal governance controls are adhered to.
Maintaining positive relationships within the business, being "hands on" in helping to overcome problems, assessing threats, driving improvements and raising general awareness of risk management.
Profile
The successful candidate should have:
Demonstrable knowledge of accounting principles and industry standards.
Proven experience in being able to manage several projects at any one time, whilst still delivering high quality and timely results.
Extensive technical and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal skills, with ability to interact positively and build relationships with all levels of the organisation.
A professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CIA/CMIIA) or auditing qualification.
