Position: In-House Legal Contracts Specialist – 6-Month FTC Location: Cambridge region (Hybrid Working)Salary Guide: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum/FTE Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (6 months)Start date: ASAP We are partnering with a highly respected and fast growing organisation seeking to recruit an In-House Legal Contracts Specialist on a 6-month fixed term contract.This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and high performing legal function that plays a pivotal role in the success of the wider business. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will be responsible for managing, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements with clients, suppliers, and partners.The organisation works with a diverse and international client base, meaning each agreement brings fresh challenges and opportunities to apply your legal and commercial expertise. You will liaise closely with colleagues across the business and external legal advisers, ensuring contracts are robust, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.Key Responsibilities:Lead and support the drafting, negotiation, and execution of a wide range of commercial contracts, including:~ Master Service Agreements (MSAs)~ Statements of Work (SOWs)~ Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)~ Supplier and Associate Framework Agreements~ Intellectual Property AgreementsProvide practical legal and commercial advice to internal stakeholders.Maintain and manage ongoing contractual relationships with clients and suppliers.Support training and awareness within the Commercial team on contractual best practice and risk management.Work collaboratively with other business functions to ensure contract compliance and effective commercial governance.About You:Legal degree qualification (or equivalent).Legal qualification (e.g. LPC, CILEX, Solicitor or equivalent).Proven experience negotiating and managing commercial contracts within a service led organisation.Sound understanding of contract law and commercial risk.Working knowledge of GDPR principles.Strong organisational, literacy, and numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail.Desirable:Previous in-house experience.Experience working in a consultancy or technology-based environment.Personal Attributes:Confident negotiator with excellent communication skills.Collaborative and able to build trusted relationships across all levels.Calm and composed under pressure.Proactive, resourceful, and accountable.Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and respect in all interactions.📩 To apply or discuss the role confidentially, please contact Chris Ewles at LHH on 07902701818 or at chris.ewles@lhh.comLHH is an employment consultancy that believes in talent, not labels.
