Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Manager to oversee and enhance our procurement operations. This pivotal role involves the management of supplier relationships and the enforcement of procurement strategies to align with our organisational goals. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the development and execution of procurement policies, ensuring compliance and efficiency across the board.
**This role would require 2 - 3 visits to the Bristol site per month. Easily accessed from Bristol Temple Meads train station.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the advancement and application of procurement policies, adapting to procurement trends and initiating policy improvements.
- Oversee procurement communications, collaborating with department heads and compliance teams to maintain policy adherence.
- Educate and support team members on procurement procedures and policy nuances.
- Suggest and implement modifications to procurement strategies to optimise organisational effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain standardised policies linked to procurement, including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations.
- Manage a centralised database of supplier contracts, monitoring key contractual milestones.
- Evaluate supplier compliance with organisational standards, addressing discrepancies with relevant department leads.
- Spearhead the creation and deployment of a comprehensive contract management system.
- Assist in the evaluation of supplier service delivery against agreed standards and support in addressing service level discrepancies.
- Facilitate the contracting process with new suppliers, ensuring collaboration and review from key internal teams.
- Maintain an organisational sourcing strategy, overseeing the renewal and review of significant contracts.
- Champion the procurement process, ensuring swift execution and appropriate stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with risk management teams on regular supplier risk assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional accreditation in procurement or a similar related field.
- Background in Contract Management with a focus on commercial terms.
- Proficient in managing supplier relationships and engaging with stakeholders.
- Experience within the Professional Services sector or other regulated industries.
- Awareness of legal compliance, ESG considerations, and related agendas.
- Commercially astute with excellent communication skills, capable of forging strong relationships with key decision-makers.
