As our SBFE Head of Data Product, Data Analytics you will lead the Data Analytics (D&A) Product team and deliver Data Products to the SBFE organization. Data products are technology solutions like dashboards, reports, chat bot, simulator, web-app etc that delivers descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, or prescriptive analytics. This role co-owns overall accountability, together with the head of data engineering, for on timely, quality, and scope delivery of projects and day-to-day BAU operations of Data Solution Products. You, as the SBFE Head of Data Products will lead a team of data product managers in SBFE. Some of these product managers are direct reports and some of them will be dotted line reports. In this role you will be a member of the SBFE IT leadership team and will report into the global Head of Data & Analytics


YOUR ROLE


  • Define and execute the data & analytics vision and roadmap for SBFE, aligned with the organization's strategic goals and priorities. This requires strong business partnering with SBFE Excom and BU excom leaders
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, business stakeholders, and external partners, providing data insights, recommendations, and thought leadership.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, from ideation & prototyping to development, testing and deployment, ensuring customer satisfaction and business value.
  • Collaborate closely with the global data engineering team to ensure delivery of the data products. The data engineering team provides technical delivery (e.g. Data Schema, Data Pipeline, Data Warehouse, Data Mart, Data Cube, BI Technical Implementation, Machine Learning Implementation and ML Ops), based on the technical specifications provided from Data Product Managers.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data product managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Establish and maintain data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.


KNOWLEDGE


Data Source System Knowledge - conceptual understanding is enough

  • Enterprise Systems such as SAP BW, SAP ERP, SAP IBP, Success Factors, Coupa, MES
  • Commercial IT Systems such as SFA, DMS, TPM
  • Retail & Consumer Measurement Service and Tools like Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, TRAX
  • Media performance data gathering systems like Datorama, Adverity
  • System Integration Tool like SAP PI, SAP CPI, Mulesoft, Magic XPI


Data Analytics Technical Knowledge – Strong conceptual understanding with hands on experience in at least one of these domains of data technologies.


  • Databricks and Azure Data Lake
  • Data Modelling Framework (Entity Relationship, Data Vault Schema, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Mart, Materialized View, Data Harmonization, etc.)
  • Data Engineering Programming and Scripting, especially Python and Terraform.
  • Data visualization incl Power BI ((DAX, Power Query, Power Pivot, Filters, Power BI Gateway, Data Access Mode like Direct Query/Import/Live Connection, Data Refresh Method, Power BI Dataset, PBI Workspace, Method to publish app and report, Various visuals chart types, etc)
  • SAP BW & SAC

WHAT YOU BRING


  • University degree with preference for a computer science or maths degree
  • Solid experience in data or technology roles, ideally in Consumer Goods or in consulting roles serving consumer goods industry. Mid to senior level of experience in Data engineering or data analysis or data product roles
  • Thorough understanding of at least one-two key domains of a CPG companies’ operations among Sales, marketing or supply chain. For e.g. understanding of Sales domain would include channel structure, customers, distributors, trade terms, retail measurement syndicated data, in-store execution/ perfect store,
  • targets & rolling forecasts, inventory etc.
  • Strong communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across functions and levels in an effective and collaborative manner, both in writing and in spoken
  • DevOps and Agile Development Framework (backlog, sprint, scrum, user story & story point, epic, etc.)
  • Waterfall Project Management (writing project charter, building business case, managing scope, work item, timeline, resource, risk and issue, reporting, communication, and value realization)
  • ITIL Process (especially Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, Service Request Fulfilment)
  • Effective Business and technical Documentation
