Purpose:
To provide financial stewardship and business management support to the Head of Finance and wider department, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deputise for Head of Finance: Act as the Head of Finance's representative in their absence, providing support across the department and contributing to strategic initiatives.
- Team Management: Oversee the workload and performance of the finance team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tasks.
- Financial Planning: Contribute to the annual budget setting process, medium-term financial planning, and the maintenance of the budgetary control system.
- Business Advice: Provide financial advice and guidance to operational, tactical, and strategic decision-making.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and quality assure statutory financial statements in accordance with relevant standards.
- Audit Liaison: Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and implement recommendations.
- Corporate Governance: Maintain the organisation's Financial Procedures Manual to ensure robust corporate governance.
