Lead Mechanical Engineer

Dynisma is revolutionising the automotive and motorsport driving simulator market with its disruptive Motion Generator technology. Our cutting-edge approach to simulator design delivers more data about vehicle dynamics and ride to drivers and passengers with less latency and more accurately than any other motion simulators available.


Our CEO Ash Warne started the business in 2017 after leading the simulator programmes at McLaren and Ferrari F1 teams. We have since grown to a team of over 40 engineers, delivering turnkey driving simulators to customers including Ferrari F1 Team as well as a number of other marquee brands.


About the team:

We are a team of engineers experienced both in the design and manufacture of driving simulators, as well as their use in vehicle development. We develop, deliver and support outstanding, ground-breaking simulators and motion generators that support the engineering that leads to winning performance on the track.


The role:

We have world leading technical knowledge and experience and are now searching for an outstanding Mechanical Engineering Leader to join our dynamic team and grow with us. This is a significant leadership role where you will be leading and managing a team of engineers with significant influence over business success and reporting directly to the Head of Mechanical Engineering.

  • CAD skills in modelling and drafting
  • Structural analysis using FEA or similar methods
  • Ability to use and customise software to solve problems and process data
  • Verification and validation of products by analysis and test
  • Producing FMEA and Technical Documentation
  • Simulation and multibody modelling capabilities (Matlab/Simulink/SimScape/Dymola/Adams/HyperWorks)


Suitable candidates are likely to also have a at least a 2:1 honours degree and 3 or more A-level grades at or above ABB or equivalent with subjects including maths and physics.

Your role responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and leading the work of a Mechanical Engineering team in the design, analysis, risk management, technical documentation and delivery of Dynisma’s Motion Generators to schedule targets.
  • Undertaking some of the aforementioned activities yourself as required as part of the Mechanical Engineering team
  • Ensuring the control of quality through implementing appropriate review, checking and approval of the outputs from the aforementioned activities
  • Managing the team capabilities and performance by identifying required and desirable capabilities and recruiting, training, leading and mentoring team members to satisfy these requirements and address under-performance
  • Supporting testing, development, delivery and fault resolution activities of Dynisma’s Motion Generators
  • Liaising with other members of the Dynisma team to complete the aforementioned activities and agree the division of responsibilities and accountabilities between your Mechanical Engineering team and others
  • Liaising with Dynisma’s suppliers and customers as required to complete all the aforementioned activities
  • Supporting development of Dynisma’s mechanical engineering toolset and capabilities to improve business performance

  • Identifying and supporting business development opportunities and initiatives
  • Providing input to key business decisions
