Our client is an award-winning publisher and developer, whose simulation-based games have entertained millions of players around the world



Working as a Technical Artist within their passionate team, you’ll support engineers and artists drive the company in new directions in visuals and procedural creation.



This position would suit an experienced Technical Artist with games industry experience who ideally started their career as a 3D Artist and transitioned to a technical artist.



REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technical proficiency in Unreal Engine, including materials and Blueprints.
  • Knowledge working with Houdini or other procedural generation technologies.
  • Excellent understanding of Physically Based Rendering (PBR) art pipelines.
  • Practical skills with profiling and optimisation and establishing platform standards.
  • Drive to improve quality across products.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Practical knowledge of 3D packages such as Maya, 3DsMax, and Zbrush.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement and maintain efficient workflows, tools and pipelines for the art team.
  • Develop tools to assist asset optimisation and to ensure assets conform to technical requirements.
  • Review current and emerging technologies and technical developments for implementing in game.
  • Share best practices and bridge communication between the art and programming teams.
