Our Safety Case Engineers are working collaboratively across diverse markets in the civil nuclear and defence sectors on both national and international projects. Our work spans the full nuclear lifecycle, including next-generation systems, emerging reactor technologies and supporting the operation of existing nuclear facilities and systems.

This role will allow you to work in a growing market with an organisation that supports a diverse and extensive client base, aiding your personal and professional career goals.

We are interested in hearing from you if you have experience in one of the following safety case areas:

  • Structural Integrity design/assessment of nuclear related structures and components.

We would also be keen to hear from you if you are interested in transferring into this discipline as part of your aspirations to support this capability in the nuclear industry. Amentum will assist your transition through formal training and mentoring support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering technical work to support the demonstration that a facility or system can be operated safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaising with clients to understand their challenges and developing solutions.
  • Representing the business in technical meetings with clients, regulators and other third parties.
  • Helping to maintain the technical capability/knowledge of the community and mentoring junior team members (as appropriate).

Minimum Requirements:
  • A degree (or equivalent demonstrable experience) in a STEM discipline.
  • Experience of executing project tasks against relevant standards and best practices.
  • Good communication skills and ability to articulate information to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Chartered Member of a professional institute (or equivalent demonstrable experience) or working towards either Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional body.
