Senior / Principal Data ModellerSalary: For the Senior: £70,000–£88,000 (3-5 years experience)For the Principal: £90,000–£120,000 (5+ years experience)Location: London Working Model: 3 days a week on-siteAbout the Company/Role A mid-sized management consultancy with a strong presence across data, analytics, and technology transformation is hiring Data Modellers at Senior and Principal levels.The team delivers enterprise-scale data frameworks and modelling standards for clients across financial services and energy, helping to shape data strategies and improve architecture maturity.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESDesign and deliver relational (3NF) and dimensional (star/snowflake) data modelsDefine modelling frameworks and best practices across client engagementsWork closely with architecture teams to ensure alignment with data strategiesSupport metadata management, governance, and documentation processesEngage with senior business stakeholders to translate requirements into modelsContribute to data migration and ETL design activitiesPrincipal level: lead client relationships, manage delivery teams, and drive thought leadershipSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Required:3–5+ years of experience in data modelling (consulting or financial services preferred)Strong experience with tools such as ERWin, Sparx, RSA, or VisioStrong SQL and data warehousing knowledgeHands-on experience with metadata and data governance frameworksExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsNice to have:Experience working with semi-structured data (JSON, XML, Parquet)Broader experience in data architecture or engineeringExposure to energy or financial services industriesApply below
