Senior / Principal Data Modeller Salary: For the Senior: £70,000–£88,000 (3-5 years experience) For the Principal: £90,000–£120,000 (5+ years experience) Location: London Working Model: 3 days a week on-site About the Company/Role A mid-sized management consultancy with a strong presence across data, analytics, and technology transformation is hiring Data Modellers at Senior and Principal levels. The team delivers enterprise-scale data frameworks and modelling standards for clients across financial services and energy, helping to shape data strategies and improve architecture maturity. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design and deliver relational (3NF) and dimensional (star/snowflake) data models Define modelling frameworks and best practices across client engagements Work closely with architecture teams to ensure alignment with data strategies Support metadata management, governance, and documentation processes Engage with senior business stakeholders to translate requirements into models Contribute to data migration and ETL design activities Principal level: lead client relationships, manage delivery teams, and drive thought leadership SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Required: 3–5+ years of experience in data modelling (consulting or financial services preferred) Strong experience with tools such as ERWin, Sparx, RSA, or Visio Strong SQL and data warehousing knowledge Hands-on experience with metadata and data governance frameworks Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Nice to have: Experience working with semi-structured data (JSON, XML, Parquet) Broader experience in data architecture or engineering Exposure to energy or financial services industries Apply below
