Full time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:55 to 16:25 and Friday 07:55 to 13:30

We're looking for a team leader to join our coffin factory in Glasgow. As a team leader, we'll look to you to lead, mentor and develop a team of circa 20 colleagues within a critical phase of the production process. You'll plan and co-ordinate the work activities and resources required for the manufacturing process while also fostering a positive culture.

What you'll do

  1. Lead, manage and coach the team encouraging teamwork and a positive culture where the customer is kept at the heart of the operation.
  2. Support the team with technical operations and maintain an understanding of the tools used.
  3. Plan, direct and co-ordinate the work activities and resources required for the production of products in accordance with cost, quantity and quality specifications.
  4. Complete regular one to ones and appraisals with the team.

This role will suit people who have:

  1. Manufacturing experience within an operational environment – ideally, you've worked in the woodworking machinery industry, although this is not essential.
  2. Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing and developing a team.
  3. A good understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
