This permanent role is based in Accrington and focuses on maintaining and repairing machinery to ensure optimal performance. Client Details The organisation is a well-established company within the FMCG industry. As a medium-sized enterprise, they specialise in high-quality manufacturing and are known for their dedication to operational excellence. Description As the Mechanical fitter you will be tasked with the following; Maintenance & Repair Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery, conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, and utilities. Diagnose mechanical faults and perform effective breakdown repairs to minimise downtime. Replace and refurbish mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, and valves.Compliance & Safety Ensure all work complies with food safety, hygiene, and GMP requirements. Adhere to site health & safety policies, including lock-out/tag-out procedures. Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure work is completed to audit-ready standards.Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve machine reliability and performance.
