Job DescriptionJob Title: Pharmacist Independent Prescriber (GP Surgery Placement)Location: Smethwick West MidlandsContract Type: Fixed-term (6 months)Start Date: 16th June 2025Working Pattern: Part-time (20 hours per week)Days Required: Mondays Wednesdays FridaysHourly Rate: 3840 per hour (DOE)Role Overview:We are currently seeking a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber (PIP) to join our GP surgery team in Smethwick on a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced pharmacist to contribute to patient care in a well-supported primary care environment.Key Responsibilities:Conduct medication reviews for patients with acute and long-term conditionsProvide v300 prescribing in accordance with clinical need and scope of practiceWork collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to support safe and effective prescribingMaintain accurate patient records in line with local policy and GMC/GPhC guidanceContribute to quality improvement initiatives where appropriateRequirements:GPhC-registered Pharmacist Independent PrescriberRecent experience in a primary care or GP surgery setting preferredCompetence in medication review and autonomous prescribing (v300)Strong communication and clinical decision-making skillsFamiliarity with EMIS Web (desirable but not essential)What We Offer:Competitive hourly rate of 3840 depending on experienceFlexible part-time hours across three working daysSupportive working environment within an established GP practiceOpportunity to enhance clinical skills and work within an experienced MDT Key Skills LTC Pharmacy,Hospital Experience,Pharmacy Software,Continuous Improvement,Go,Infusion Experience,Pharmacy Residency,Training & Development,Order Entry,Epic,Clinical Pharmacy Experience,Compounding Medications Employment Type : Contract Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Hourly Salary Salary: 38 - 40
