An exciting opportunity has arisen at Nottingham Physiotherapy for a Full Time Employed Physiotherapist to join our well established and well known practice team in Nottingham.


Description: 

This Full Time Employed role would suit someone looking to gain more experience in private practice.


Nottingham Physio was established in 2017 by Johnny Wilson and is one of Nottingham’s leading physiotherapy & sports injury clinics with patients travelling from all over the world for our specialist treatment.


We are now recruiting a full time physio (40 hours) who has a real passion for MSK to join our physiotherapy team. Both New Grads and physios with experience will be considered.


Further information:

  • You will join the team as a full time employed member of staff.
  • 40 hours per week 
  • 36 days annual leave per year (25 days plus 11 stat. days)





Main Responsibilities:


  • Candidates will have the skills to assess, diagnose and manage musculoskeletal (MSK) problems. This will involve supporting patients with undifferentiated conditions within the scope of the role.



  • Be able to consult with patients, without prior referral from their GP and establish a rapid and accurate diagnosis, interpret and act on assessment findings and management plan.



  • Undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, working within the ethical framework provided by the CSP/HCPC rules of professional conduct.



  • Responsibility for own caseload, working independently & without direct supervision and within clearly defined operational policies and procedures as per HCPC & CSP regulations.



  • Be able to deliver programmes of supported patient self-management through individualised Home Exercise Programs, in ways that facilitate behavioural change, optimise individuals' physical activity, mobility and fulfilment of personal goals and independence, whilst minimising the need for pharmacological interventions.



  • Liaise regularly with the Director for Clinical Services & Practice Manager. 



  • Undertake personal CPD as appropriate to meet the demands of the role.



  • Inform the Practice Manager of any relevant medical equipment/stock that needs to be ordered.



  • Ensure that the management of injuries meets Nottingham Physio’s commitment to patients through evidence informed clinical practice and accurate documentation.



  • Responsible for maintaining a clean clinical working environment (emptying bins, cleaning work surfaces & equipment etc etc. 



  • Be on hand to participate in and contribute to the clinic’s social media activity



  •  Complete patient call backs without being asked to and be willing to speak to patients who have dropped off schedule


 




Qualifications & knowledge:


  • Strong communication, organisational and time management skills.
  • High level of IT skills.
  • HCPC and CSP registration.
  • Valid Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • BSc (hons) Physiotherapy degree
  • Proven experience of working within an MSK Physiotherapy or similar environment
  • Experience of conducting initial assessments, providing diagnosis, and prescribing management plans
  • Strong English language skills (verbal, reading and writing)
  • Post-graduate / Masters level qualifications are desirable but not essential
