Job descriptionSEMH TeacherProspero Teaching are currently recruiting for a trained teacher for an excellent SEMH Secondary School based in Blackburn.The school works with Secondary students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. It boasts an extremely supportive and nurturing environment to help students reach their full potential.The schools students often require support to build trusting relationships with professionals and you will have high expectations and a belief that they can succeed. You will be someone who can think outside the box with creative lessons for our onsite and offsite students, as well as bring a unique element to the team.Your day-to-day responsibilities will be:Ensuring that the teaching area is organised appropriately to provide a safe, tidy, pleasant and stimulating environment.Planning and delivering an appropriate curriculum based on individual needs having due regard to pupil entitlement.Teaching a range of subjects at different levels across the key stages.Developing and maintaining positive relationships with families/carers.Contract Details:Location: BlackburnPosition: TeacherType of work: KS3/KS4 TeacherContract or position start date: January 2025Duration/Likely Duration: Ongoing/PermContract type: PermanentFull time/part time Full timeMinimum rate of pay: Paid To Scale (experience dependant)Hours: (Apply online only), plus parents eveningsExperience, Training and Qualifications:QTS/PGCEMinimum 1 year Teaching experience in the UKExperience working with SEN (advantageous)Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last yearEligibility:Hold Right to Work in the UKHold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new applicationProvide two professional child related referencesIf you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
