Reimagine the possibilities.Your role and responsibilitiesThis role is dedicated to delivering a ground-breaking project. You will set up and deliver a scheme to provide several hundred loan bikes to year 5 and 6 pupils in some of the most deprived communities in Suffolk.Youll be responsible for engaging schools and staff and working with them to develop a process which involves the minimum of administrative work whilst ensuring that several hundred cycles spread throughout the county are tracked safety checked and maintained on a regular basis.Marketing the scheme to pupils and parents / carers to ensure high levels of engagement and participation will be key with ongoing work through the school community to embed active travel and transport independence amongst service users.You can view a full list of requirements in theJob and Person Profile (Word). The team sits within the Transport Strategy division of the Growth Highways and Infrastructure Directorate.The Transport Travel and Safety team includes specialist officers with responsibility for road safety education and training travel planning behavioural change traffic management safety engineering and the school crossing patrol service. The team works with internal partners across Suffolk County Council including Public Health and external organisations.
