Job Title: Locum Band 7 Highly Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language TherapistBanding: Band 7 (AHP Grade)Location: Northwick Park Hospital Watford Rd HA1 3UJStart Date: ASAPDuration: 6 weeks with potential of contract extension.Working Hours: 30 hours per weekRate: Competitive dependent on experienceJob OverviewPulse is currently seeking an experienced and autonomous Band 7 Highly Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join the team at Northwick Park Hospital. This locum role offers the opportunity to deliver expert care to children aged 05 and adolescents with dysphagia autism social communication differences and complex needs across an acute hospital setting.You will work primarily on the Acute Ward (Jacks Place) supporting premature neonates babies children and young people admitted to the Paediatric and Neonatal Wards. The role involves managing your own caseload and collaborating with medical and community colleagues to ensure effective communication and feeding support within the hospital environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver highly specialist speech and language therapy services to children and adolescents with complex needsProvide assessment and intervention for dysphagia and social communication differencesWork collaboratively with families carers and multidisciplinary teams across health education and social careSupervise and support SLTs and SLTAs in Harrow community settingsLead departmental audits and service development projectsDeliver specialist training to professionals parents/carers and studentsParticipate in departmental meetings and receive clinical supervision from senior SLT colleaguesRequirementsHCPC registration (required)Proven experience in paediatric dysphagia and complex communication needsAbility to work independently and manage a specialist caseloadStrong leadership supervision and training skillsExperience in acute hospital and community settings (preferred)Why PulseAt Pulse we put you first.
